Why I Buy from BH PhotoVideo

One company that I can recommend without any reservations is B&H Photo-Video. I have spent thousands of dollars with them and always gotten great service and quality equipment. The picture to the left also shows the difference between them and the competition.

I order the same printer from B&H and one of the big box stores. Look at the difference in packaging. The printer on the right has no packaging other than what the printer came in. B&H encases the printer in large bubble wrap and puts it in a sturdy box.

As a former mailman I know how packages are treated and I appreciate the extra work that B&H does in getting their equipment packaged so that it will arrive without any damage.

Don’t Buy a New Computer Now!

Windows 7 should be coming out in a few months and if you can wait, you’ll be rewarded. All the  press I’ve seen lately says Windows 7 is MUCH BETTER than Vista. Here’s a site with many of the new features.(click here).

Buying Help and Information

When friends are ready to buy a new camera or computer etc., they usually call and ask the question – “Which one should I buy?” As you may know, the answer is that it all depends on your budget, and your techpertise. Also, products  change so quickly, that you need to get the latest news. A new site I just discovered www.bestcovery.com has list of all sorts of  “Best Of.” It’s like a Consumer Reports, but Free. Unfortunately, that makes the results a bit less reliable, but still a good source when you’re doing basic research. Give it a try.
