Slide Show in Windows 7

Getting a slide show to run in Windows 7  is fairly simple – Open Windows Explorer and open your Pictures Library.

Choose the folder you want and then click on the “Slide Show” button and it will automatically start showing your pictures as a slide show. The problem is that most times you want to be able to control when you advance each slide.

To do that right click on the first picture and click on the “pause” button. Now you can control your slide show with your arrow keys.

Unfortunately, when you plug in a thumb drive, you don’t get the slide show option. You can however right click on the first file and choose – Open With – Windows Photo Viewer. The advantage of this is that it shows you the name of the file on the top and you use your cursor for your slide progression.
