Wired Router Backup

You should know by now that at some point your router will die, you’ll lose your internet access and you’ll be scrambling to figure out what’s going on and what next to buy. Since you don’t have an internet connection, it makes it even harder to make a decision.

Here’s where having a backup wired router will save the day. The picture above is the wired router I use as a backup. It’s a D-Link EBR-2310, but after doing a search on Amazon, I’ve found some cheaper alternatives on Amazon for around $20 which should work just fine.

It also never hurts to have some extra ethernet Cat5 cables to use as replacements.

You won’t use this router very often, but you will appreciate having it when you do have internet problems.
