As you can see from the picture above, the “Newest” Category on Ted Talks for the Roku Channel shows a April 22, 2015 video. The problem is obvious since it is now November 12th.
Don’t bother talking to Roku since they are not the problem.
I did email Ted Talks and got this very quick response back.
” Thank you for writing in! I’m very sorry for any trouble with the Roku app. We’re currently in the process of transitioning the Roku app development from a 3rd party developer to our in-house team, which is likely why you are experiencing issues with finding new talks. While we’re working on fixing the Roku issues, may I recommend temporarily seeking an alternate way to view TED talks?
You could view them on:
– our website TED.com
– on YouTube at TED Talks Director (https://www.youtube.com/user/TEDtalksDirector)
– through one of our mobile apps
– via iTunes podcasts
– and more!
We appreciate your patience as our developers work to improve the Roku app experience. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.”
Hopefully, in the the next month or so the in-house developers will get this fixed.
